Yoav first arrived in North America after serving in the Laskov Elite Engineering Unit of the
Israeli Air Force.
His first internet venture was Date.ca, a niche dating site which he
founded, developed and sold to Spark Networks. Then, working in Business Development for Spark
he helped build a portfolio of well known social communities amassing over 10 million members
across their community properties, including JDate, which amassed 800,000 members before going
public on the NYSE. After leaving Spark, Yoav founded WOMAN.ca, a social publishing platform
and now the fastest growing community site for women in Canada. With over 100 contributors and
an offline performance-based marketing arm, it is a leader in the online women's market in
Canada.
Yoav was also instrumental in bringing Toda!Cell to Canada - a global leader among
targeted, mobile ad networks.
Josh Feuer
Chief Executive Officer
Josh has over 10 years experience in the development, management and marketing of innovative start-ups. Josh began his career in technology after graduating with a Masters Degree in Medicine from the University of Toronto.
With wireless technology in its infancy and while working at Mount Sinai Hospital, he designed a wireless platform on which doctors could send prescriptions. After leaving medicine, Josh co-founded an award winning bricks and mortar company which he launched, managed and sold in 2007. In 2007, he co-founded WOMAN.ca, now the fastest growing community site for women in Canada. In 2008, he was instrumental in WOMAN.ca's partnership with Shopflick for Canada. In December 2009, under his direction, WOMAN.ca acquired Shopflick from Sugar Inc.
Josh has been recognized by Strategy Magazine and Applied Arts for his achievements in corporate branding, marketing and website design and recognized as one of 10 business leaders to watch in the next decade by ContraMag.com.
Girish Venkat
Chief Technology Officer
Girish has over 10 years of experience in architecting scalable Internet and client-server applications. Girish has been involved in the product conceptualization, system architecture and implementation for several start-up companies and has provided consulting services to companies including NetFlip, Information Management Resources (IMR), Equinox Solutions, Reuters America and others. Girish holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, India.
Nancy Forman
Director of Merchandise & Brand Relations
Nancy is a savvy fashion executive with 20-years experience in fashion retail including 14 years with Bloomingdales, most recently as their regional director for all California stores. Her experience with Bloomingdales spanned both retail and fashion forecasting and buying. She left Bloomingdales to work with Isabella Fiore, and after 3 years working in senior management, helped to launch her handbag collection internationally. In 2003, she launched her first business, a cosmetic collection called PersoNatalie. Soon after, she launched The Fashion Think Tank, a fashion consulting business that drew from her experience to offer business development, brand establishment and service orientation.
Joy Novick
Director of Video & Filmmakers Marketplace
Before joining Shopflick, Joy was Director of Business Development for Helio where she worked with major record labels to launch a mobile video music store for WAP and web. With Helio, she also directed production of all female-branded content and launched the Ford Models mobile video application. Prior to Helio, Joy worked with Tribal Brands. Here, she created music sponsorship tours and mobile apps for Verizon, Virgin Mobile US and Motorola. Joy has consulted for numerous venture-backed e-commerce start-ups, assisting with licensing, talent, brand advertising and programming. She has worked closely with DDB, Omnicom, Nestle, Burger King, McDonalds, Ford Models, Unilever and Function Drinks. Joy received her BS in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas.
Galit Prince
Marketplace Manager
Galit manages brand relationships as well as the technical aspects of each brand`s storefront on Shopflick. Galit started her career with MTV Network's Viacom Brand Solutions, where she focused on international ad sales and marketing. After relocating to Los Angeles, Galit entered digital media working at FoxNews.com in Digital Ad Sales. There, she optimized online advertising campaigns, and managed account relationships. Galit received her BA in Organizational Studies and Minor in Economics from Pitzer College.
Lindsay Albanese
Video Host, Style Scout and Shopflick Blog Contributing Editor
Lindsay is regularly featured in US Weekly, Access Hollywood, Life and Style, E!, The Style Network and on Shopbop.com. As well as hosting video segments for brands and commenting on trends, Lindsay will be contributing regularly to the Shopflick Style Scout Blog. Lindsay has styled music videos for Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige and has also dressed many A-list celebrities.
Michael Jones
President, COO, MySpace
Michael leads NewsCorp's MySpace as President and Chief Operating Officer. He has founded, operated and sold several online businesses, including PBJ Digital, Investing.com and Userplane, a leading provider of tools for online communities which was acquired by AOL in 2006. He subsequently served as Senior VP with AOL, where he focused on social media monetization and also pioneered the distribution of widgets and other tools to web publishers. Michael was also founder and CEO of Tsavo Media, a content and search network with next-generation publishing platforms and technology services.
A serial Internet entrepreneur, Michael also sits on several boards and serves as an advisor to private start-ups. Michael is a recognized industry leader and speaks at various conferences globally.
Dave Grant
President, Sugar Digital
David leads Sugar Digital, the LA-based unit of Sugar, Inc. that produces and distributes Sugar-branded video content. David has a long history of content excellence and innovation. He was the founder and President of Fox TV Studios, a major Hollywood producer of thousands of hours of scripted, reality and documentary television in over 25 countries. During Grant's tenure his projects were awarded multiple Emmy and Peabody Awards. Previously, David was an Executive VP of the FOX Network, where he played a key role in the start up of Fox Sports, the NFL on FOX, the FX Network, BSkyB in the UK and STAR TV in Asia.
After leaving Fox, David advised on digital strategy for major brands including P&G, NBC, Home Depot, Sprint and Discovery Network. He was also CEO of Global Gaming League that grew into a top-10 global online video game competition and community network. In 2008, David co-founded and was CEO of Shopflick.com.
